Troy Furbay

Troy Furbay is Managing Director, Head of Hospitality for Crescent Real Estate LLC, where he leads the firm’s hospitality investment platform and sets the strategic direction for Crescent’s hotel portfolio. A proven leader in lodging and real estate, he brings more than 20 years of experience driving transformational growth, executing complex transactions, and creating long-term value across premier hospitality assets.

Before joining Crescent, Mr. Furbay served as Chief Investment Officer at DiamondRock Hospitality (NYSE: DRH), where he reshaped the company’s portfolio with a successful pivot toward resort, lifestyle, and independent hotels. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Loews Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels, and MeriStar Hospitality, following his early start in real estate consulting at KPMG.

Widely recognized as an industry thought leader, Mr. Furbay is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Hotel Development Council and the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and he is a frequent speaker at major hospitality and investment conferences.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
