DALLAS, TX, (July 11, 2011) – Crescent Real Estate Holdings LLC announced today that its namesake property, The Crescent Office Towers, has been awarded the 360 Performance Program designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). The Dallas icon is Crescent’s 13th building to carry the prestigious designation.
The BOMA 360 Performance Program is a groundbreaking program designed to recognize commercial properties that demonstrate best practices in building operations and management. Since the program’s inception in spring 2009, only about 300 buildings have been designated across the nation. The BOMA 360 Performance Program evaluates properties on six major areas of building management: building operations and management; life safety/security/risk management; training and education; energy; environment/sustainability; and tenant relations/community involvement.
The comprehensive nature of the BOMA 360 Performance Program means that every aspect of building performance is assessed and scores are based on how buildings meet an extensive checklist of best practices. “We were thrilled to hear the news,” said Crescent Senior Property Manager Don Vardell. “I’d like to say we did something different to earn the designation. But the truth is, we applied for it and kept our operations to business as usual. That says a lot for our team and management practices at Crescent.”
The Crescent Office Towers’ BOMA 360 Performance Program designation follows the property’s LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) under the Existing Buildings (EB) rating system at the end of 2010 and Energy Star Top Performer ratings for years 2008, 2009, and 2010.
