DALLAS, TX (August 31, 2011) – Crescent Real Estate Holdings LLC announced today that Citicorp North America signed a new, long-term lease for 18,841 square feet at Crescent’s Arts District property, Trammell Crow Center. The U.S. Commercial Banking Group, part of Citibank’s Central Division, is occupying most of the 43rd floor this week. Katy Cleary with Crescent represented the owner, Crescent Ross Avenue Investors LLC, while Steve Rigby with CB Richard Ellis represented Citicorp.
Last fall, Citicorp North America signed a direct lease with a Crescent affiliate for space in the company’s uptown icon, Crescent Office Towers. The private banking group has been officing out of the towers for several years under a sublease arrangement.
Kathleen Gibson, president of Citibank’s Central Division, commented on the new deal at Trammell Crow Center, “There’s no question we are pushing a downtown presence for Citi commercial banking. Trammell Crow Center was the perfect fit for us, not only because of the prestige it carries, but because it allows us to become a part of the action in and around the dynamic Arts District.”
