DALLAS, TX, (February 14, 2011) – Crescent Real Estate Holdings LLC announced today that five new customers signed leases totaling 41,380 square feet at downtown Dallas’ landmark property, Fountain Place.

Commerce Street Capital and Mercury Financial Group both are relocating within downtown, while Fifth Third Bank and a land management and development company have made moves from uptown. Additionally, Freight Shuttle International has chosen downtown Dallas for company headquarters. Commerce Street Capital, a prestigious banking consulting and investment firm headquartered in Dallas with a second office in Atlanta, is scheduled to relocate within downtown to Fountain Place this month, taking 22,647 square feet. Crescent’s Kirby White represented the owner, Crescent Fountain Place, L.P, while The Amend Group, John Amend and B.D. Amend, represented Commerce Street Capital.

Dory Wiley, president of Commerce Street Capital, said about the headquarters’ move, “It was important for us to stay downtown, so we researched our options thoroughly. Ultimately, we found what we were looking for in Fountain Place – a prime, convenient location that overlooks the Arts District and architectural prestige that says a lot about the companies within it.”

Mercury Financial Group, based in Dallas, is a wealth advisory firm that consults with financial advisors nationwide. Mercury plans to relocate from Chase Tower to Fountain Place also this month to occupy 8,086 square feet. Crescent’s Kirby White represented the owner, and Grant Henson of RockCap Interests represented Mercury Financial Group.

Fifth Third Bank, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services company based out of Cincinnati, recently relocated its Structured Finance Group from uptown to Fountain Place. The group, responsible for financing private equity-backed acquisitions as well as asset-based financing, signed on for 5,070 square feet. Crescent’s Kirby White represented the owner, and Dolores Wood-Euart with CB Richard Ellis represented Fifth Third Bank. “We continue to notice the increased activity of financial advisory firms and institutions who want to initiate or maintain a strong foothold in downtown Dallas,” commented Kirby White, director of leasing for Crescent. “We are thrilled that these prestigious firms chose Fountain Place as their downtown home and look forward to working with them for years to come.”

Freight Shuttle International, a private investment group behind the technologically advanced electric-powered Universal Freight Shuttle system conceived in 1999 by the Texas Transportation Institute at Texas A&M University, just signed a lease at Fountain Place for 2,493 square feet. Though some of the partners live in California, it was important to the company to make Dallas their headquarters’ location. Crescent’s Kirby White represented the owner.

A fifth, unnamed customer, an international land management and development management company, recently relocated from uptown to Fountain Place, taking 3,084 square feet. Crescent’s Kirby White represented the owner.
